Animal Adaptations!

We have been exploring all types of animals here in Room 8.  We are focusing on recognizing animal adaptations.  The students have been learning about how animals survive in different habitats all over the world.  We will continue to investigate all sorts of animal adaptations over the course of the next few weeks.

Daily 5!

The students are so excited to begin Daily 5 in our classroom this week!  We will begin by focusing on "Read to Self".  The students will be reading self-selected books independently during this time.  The students learn that there are 3 different way to "read" a book:  reading the words, reading the pictures, and retelling the story.  We will work on building our stamina in this area for the next few weeks!
